Sree  Narayana Vidya Mandir Central School's

 24th Annual Report

Launched in the year 1999, the Saraswathi Temple offers a high standard of education based on the Panchanga discipline. The school has 648 students and 34 teachers and 15 non-teachers who are qualified and trained as per CBSE requirements. Over the last few years, Sree Narayana Vidya Mandir has been jumping from achievement to achievement in academic and non-academic subjects.

Affiliation: Our school is affiliated with CBSE Delhi-No. 930975 & BVN Kerala . This affiliation ensures that we adhere to the highest standards of education and holistic development.

Highlights of the Year

Academic Achievements: The previous year’s Board examination was remarkable for our school. In the CBSE Board Examination 2024, 35 of our students appeared, and we are thrilled to announce that Keerthana K B secured an outstanding 499 out of 500 marks, making her the second topper at the National level. Additionally, 6 students achieved full A1, 14 students secured 90% and above, and 31 students achieved distinction. It is noteworthy that all our students scored above 70%, with none falling below this mark. Our consistent academic excellence has been recognized with awards from various quarters. We  received the Academic Excellence Topper Award from BVN, on the occation of BVN Vidyabhyasa Sammelan day , from Rashtriya Nereekshakan, Mr. Sanku T Das. School was honoured on the Merit day of CBSE Sahodaya group and also received an award from MLA.

Competitions and Achievements: Our students participated in various competitive exams, including talent search examinations, Thrissur Central Sahodaya Maths Talent Hunt Exam, Sanskriti Vinjyan Exam, and Akshara Muttam Deshabhimani Quiz. Kunjunni masters educational award which was secured by 41 students of 3rd standard.

  • Poorna Scholarship Examination: Devanshika Himodh secured the 3rd rank and was honored with a trophy, certificate, and cash award. In the same  we have 14 gold medal winners.
  • Bhartiya Vidya Niketan Talent Search Examination Winners: Sivakarthik P S, Hrishikesh Sandeep, Devanandan O S,  Prayag Sandeep, Drupad Ram, Madhav M Menon, Aadhidev P M, Eileen Joby, Parvathi K R, Pooja Krishna V G, Alan Basil Anoop, Jeshron Jibi, Dhyankrishna P R, Nandhitha U S, Anaigha C U, Edwin Steephan, Anagha Shine, Aadhikrishna Pramodh Devanandha T S and Jeswin Stanly.
  • In the Kodali Grameena Vayana Sala quiz competition, Riyan Biju and Sreyas P P secured third position. In the Fas Pady Chitra Rachna competition, we secured the overall first position, with winners Ananya MS, Harikrishnan K P, Avanthika Jinesh, Vedha P S, Adhithi P S, Alankritha K N, Sreelakshmi A R, Hiranmay C Anandh, Dheekshith A Latheesh, Sourav Jinesh, Dulfuqar Nahas, Haya Fathima and Kallyani Anoop.
  • Sree Sai Foundation has been conducting an essay writing competition in Malayalam and English for many years in our school. We are pleased to announce that we have recently received the list of winners they are Gayathri E S, Athmaj T P and Avanthika T D.

Science Exhibition: 

The school level Science exhibition  conducted on 7th August,  Mr. Santhosh K S, the Beat Forest Officer, as the chief guest. The day was celebrated with scientific spirit and innovative ideas.

In the BVN District-level Science Exhibition, first position holders included Vedhaganitham Quiz - Anaigha C U, Adrika K, Rishikesh A A, Science Model - V S Dev Krishna secured first position in district level and participated in the State Level Science fair. In the social science LP and UP quiz - Adwaitha P B, Arunima M S Thanmay C Maneesh,  Deeptha Ajith, Aarjalakshmy I S, and Ziya Zerine secured First position and Social science chart - Andriya Bindo and science Model -  Bhagyatheertha N S, Work Experience (Palm leaves) Devanjana I V secured First positon  and there are many students with other grade and position holders. We were in the overall 5th position in the Thrissur District  BVN schools.

Arts Fest: To foster overall development, we conducted the school Arts fest, inaugurated by Mr. Prabhakaran ( Drama, Cine and Serial artist) and concluded by Mrs. Sandhya Dharman (Poet, short story writer). School ensured opportunity to perform on the stage by all students. 

In the BVN district-level arts fest, first prize winners included Soorya Gayathri O S in two items , Madhav M Menon, Bhagya theertha N S, Adwaitha P B , Adrika K, Nanditha U S, Anaigha C U, Radhika N R, and Hanna Mariya and our school secured the overall fourth position and  there are many students with other grades and positions.

Sports Achievements: Our School Sports Meet 2024-25 was inaugurated by Mr. Krishnan K, Inspector of Police, Vellikulangara on 30th November. And its District level will be held at the end of this academic year and there after state level will be conducted. 

Based on last year’s District Level, In this academic year BVN state-level sports was held at Palakkad and Avani Bala - Discuss throw, Lakshmi A A - Tripple jump, Steev John - Hammer throw and discuss throw, and Muhammed Rinansha C M in Shot Put are made us proud. 

In the Bhartiya Vidya Niketan District Level Kho Kho competition , five teams from our school participated, and four teams secured the second prize and  we are the Overall first Runner Up Gauri pramodh, Anamika O H, Devanandha P S, Harishma K S, Shivani O S, Lakshminandha Leneesh, Vaiga Binoj, Aswinth P M, Devnath C D, Hari Krishnan K P, Sayanth P J, and Dhanvin P V were selected for the state level held at Palakkad and Girls team secured second position in the state level.

In the district-level football competition held at Chalakudy, our student Austin Biju was selected for the state level and he won second prize.

Adwaith Biju of class X Black Belt Winner secured  second position in Karathe Hapkido National Championship.We are proud to announce that our students, Charutheertha N S and Avanthika S Ram, emerged as winners in the Thrissur District Inter School Chess Championship 2024 held at CMI Devamatha Thrissur. School also participated in BVN Chess championship and Kishore vibhag boys secured 3rd position.

In the skating competition held at Irinjalakuda, Bhagyatheertha N S, Bharadhwaj Manoj, Abhiram Biju, were the first prize winners, total 15 medals bagged by our students and we are the third Runner Up.

Considering  Yoga’s profound impact on both physical and mental well being of students, school follows a curriculum for yoga and students are proving their skill in various competitions. We celebrated Yoga Day along with Bakrid on 21st June, Doctor Rohit, Vaidya Madam Vaidya Sala as our chief guest.  In the BVN Yoga Championship, Bala boys and Kishore boys secured the first position, and the rest of all the teams secured second or third positions, making us the overall second position holders.  In yoga, Aadidev M M, Adityan P P, Surya Kiran, Annapurna Rajendran, Aryan K A, Aadhikishna Pramod, Surya Gayathri O S, Sreehari V J, and Celez N S were selected for the state level, where they secured the first position. Sreehari V J was selected for the zonal level and secured the second position. 

Our 7th standard student Rishika P P was selected as the Supermodel junior season 1, -7th runner-up and beautiful smile.

Celebrations and Events: The year commenced with three significant programs: Pravesanotsav, Merit Day, and the convocation of UKG students. The function was inaugurated by Dr. N.R. Grama Prakash, former Registrar, Kerala Kalamandalam Kalpika Sarvakalasala. 

Throughout the year, we celebrated all important national, religious, and cultural festivals with true spirit and enthusiasm. Events such as Agnihotram Reading Day, Teachers' Day, Gandhi Jayanti, Guru Poornima, Kerala Piravi, Diwali, X’mas, were held with great fervor, ensuring that our students remain connected to their cultural roots.

A message delivered by I.R. Balakrishnan Master on Anti-Narcotic Day, as follow up a seminar was conducted by Mr. O A Babu, a retired SI from the Mobile Traffic units and a Life Skill and Behavior Management Trainer.

With considering rich cultural heritage and tradition of Kerala School celebrated onam and was inaugurated by a renowned writer, poet, and wildlife photographer Mr. Prakashan Inchakundu. School provided Onam Sandhya. Adding more colour to the celebration cultural programmes organized.

Our school follows Gurudeva Principles and philosophy and we observed Gurudeva Jayanthi with great devotion and the function was graced by the presence of Mr. Mohanan Challiyil and a short drama was presented by our students capturing the message of Guru’s life.

Christmas Day was celebrated with great pomp and show, with Rev. Father George Vezhaparambil as the chief guest.

On Teachers' Day, we honored all staff members who completed 10 years of service. During the BVN Vidyabhyasa Sammelan day, three of our staff members, Mrs. Saritha, Mrs. Indu, and Mrs. Sathakumary, who completed 20 years of service under BVN, were honored. Mrs. Saritha A R was selected as the Social Science Sankul Pramukh. Our Kids Fest Day saw enthusiastic participation from almost all students from the Foundation stage that means K G to 2nd standard and trophies were awarded to all participants.

Special Programs: We organized CBSE Shiksha Sapthah and Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat programs in our school. Our Class 9th and 6th students attended the SAFAL examination, - Structured  Assesment For Analysing Learning, 

Student Leadership and Participation: School appointments are determined through student’s votes, Adhithyan P P was elected as Head Boy and Soorya Gayathri O S as Head Girl. In the investiture ceremony, the elected students were formally appointed. 

Health and Wellness: The health and well-being of our students are of utmost importance to us. In association with the Kodaly Community Health Centre, we organized a TD vaccination drive and distributed deworming tablets to our students, and also we providing swimming practice. 

School conducted an eye check-up in collaboration with the Health and Wellness Club and Angamaly Little Flower Hospital. During this initiative, we identified students with visual problems, provided spectacles to 11 students, and offered free consultations to 21 students.

Our school offers a diverse range of 13 extra-curricular activities including art and craft Drawing Karathe, Skatting, Drums, Chess, Instrumental Music etc. and we have various clubs. To make basic mathematics  easy to grasp we have introduced Abacus classes through the systematic practice our students develop their problem solving skills, mental maths abilities. We are providing remedy classes for specifically to provide additional support and guidance for students who require exta attention in their academics.We believe that school should be a place where a learning is fun and enjoyable, to achieve this we organize bagless days filled with informative and engaging activities. These special days help our students recharge, re focus, and return to their academic with renewed enthusiasm. 

Parent and Teacher Engagement: 

Our Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) is an indispensable part of our institution, serving as a strong pillar of support. We are grateful for the dedication and commitment of our PTA executive members, who have worked tirelessly to promote the welfare of our students and school community.

Our school places great emphasis on parent-teacher collaboration. We conduct monthly PTA executive meetings and regular class-wise PTA meetings and parenting. Academic council meetings are also held regularly to ensure continuous improvement in our teaching learning practices. We organized awareness classes for students.

Conclusion

This year has been a remarkable journey of achievements and celebrations for Sree Narayana Vidya Mandir Central School, Kodaly. We continue to strive for excellence in all aspects of education, fostering a holistic development of our students. We are proud of our students, staff, and the entire school community for their dedication and hard work.

Towards the end, S N thank supportive management whose continuous support to our ideology of education has enabled the school to come this far. Teachers and the entire staff members also deserve for their tireless efforts in implementing the route map of imparting quality education. Here special mentioning is needed for all the PTA executive members especially, Kshemasamithy president Mrs. Sanju Subhi, Mathrusamithy president Mrs. Bindu Gopinath and Samskarika samithy president Mrs. Soumy Sunny. S N also extend my heartiest thanks to the parents of our students who have shown unflinching faith in us.
