Sree  Narayana Vidya Mandir Central School's

 21st Annual Report

Launched in the year 1999, the Saraswathi Temple offers a high standard of education based on the Panchanga discipline. The school has 648 students and 34 teachers and 15 non-teachers who are qualified and trained as per CBSE requirements. Over the last few years, Sree Narayana Vidya Mandir has been jumping from achievement to achievement in academic and non-academic subjects.

The corona virus plunged us into a state of complete unfamiliarity with humanity at a time when learning, play, laughter, and companionship were the order of the day. For the past year and a half there have been online classes. By providing online classes four times a day for up to four periods for higher classes and also for KG classes every day, Despite the Covid School has given the best education to the children for one-and-a-half-year as they have completed the closure, not far from the world of letters, without missing out on learning opportunities.

Offline classes partially launched in November. School operations returned to normal in February after surviving the crises raised by the Covid epidemic .Today, over 80% of students come to school with confidence and joy.

As in previous years, our school repeated 100% success in the CBSE Class X examination in the academic years 2019-20 and 2020-21. Of the 33 students who wrote the exam in 2020, PS Linet Maria, Gayathri Menon K and Anna Rose Joy scored A1 in all subjects. 9 students got more than 90 per cent marks, 25 got top marks in Distinction and 4 got full marks in Social Science.

Out of 28 students appearing for the examination in 2021,Arunima CU, Anagha TR, Krishna TT and Sneha Prashanth scored A1 in all subjects. 10 students scored more than 90 per cent, 22 above distinction and 2 full marks in Social Science.

Catherine Santhosh, a 10th class student of our school, has been selected as the first runner up in the Science Scholarship Examination conducted by All India and Middle East Talent Spire 2021.

 Miguela Maria Joji, Dhananjay OS and Nirmal US students from our school won the Discovery Super League Scholarship andJovince TS, Ryan Biju and Nirmal US are participated in the Deshabhimani Aksharamuttam Quiz and have also been selected for the state level.

Ryan Biju, a 7th class student, and Vaideh Sujay, a 4th class student, won the quiz competition organized by Purnodaya Book Trust, Kochi on the occasion of Martyrs' Day.Students Nirmal US, Ifsana CB, Niyalakshmi KL, Pavithra Sunil, Nandana B and Gouri Pramodh also won prizes in the quiz competition held by Poorna Book on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. Nandana B ( class IX), Jitha K Shyjo

( class X) , Karthika M S( class X) won prizes in the speech competition held on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.

 It is commendable that a reading note written by Gouri.ES, a 10th class student of our school, was published in the Hindu daily.

All the holidays we celebrate at school are celebrated online but with its own uniqueness.

The Environment Day was inaugurated by Beat Forest Officer and Counsellor Mrs. Sreepiya Hari. Students sent out videos of tree planting in their homes and held a drawing competition related to Environment Day.

Amal C Rajan, Assistant Professor, Sreesankara Sanskrit University and a member of the Academic Council of our school, inaugurated the Reading Day on June 19. On the same day, competitions in storytelling ,poetry, quizzes, recitation and storytelling were also organized.

June 21 International Yoga Day Matathur Panchayat President Smt. Ashwathy VB inaugurated the function. An online meeting of children was organized.

Mr. Sajeev Vettiyattil, a member of the Academic Council, delivered the Independence Day message on the occasion of August 15 Independence Day. Quizzes and speech competitions were conducted for the students and certificates were distributed to the winners. Extensive Onam celebrations were held despite the challenges posted by Covid. In connection with Onam, flower field competition, Onam song competition, disguise competition, storytelling and painting competitions were conducted and certificates were given to the winners.

National Hindi Day was inaugurated by Shri TV Satish Babu, former Principal of School and presently serving as Counsellor.

Children's Day November 14 was inaugurated by Academic Council Member Shri PV Velayudhan.

 Fr. Pauly Kannukkadan,Vicar of Holy Family Church, Vellikulangara, inaugurated the Christmas celebrations.

During the Covid and online classes School has been focusing on all the special days of the school, including the celebration of the Art Exhibition, Science Exhibition,Alumni,etc.

Implemented the 'Happy Hour Program' to nurture children's creativity and provide online and offline training courses for teachers (including on new education policy). Conducted awareness classes for students in class IX and X. The class was led by Mr. Satish Babu and Mrs. Sreepriya Hari.

President of the Kshemasamithi Shri. Santosh Kumar, Mathrusamithi President Smt. Sudha Vijayan, Vice Presidents Smt. Satidevi Sathyan and Smt. Bindu Gopinath, Secretary Smt. The PTA Executive Committee formed under the leadership of Sriranjana facilitates the functioning of the school.

SN also thanks the management for providing all the facilities required for the high standard of our school on time. - Special thanks also to the Trust on this occasion. Heartfelt thanks go out to the teachers and non-teachers who have been working tirelessly and sincerely for the All Round Development of the students and to all the parents who have faithfully entrusted the children into our hands for the beautiful future of the students.
